Devery Hamilton was born in Stuttgart, Germany but emigrated to the United States (Maryland) with his family at the age of 9.
According to Hamilton, his interest in football took off when people recommended he would be a good football player due to his size.
Hamilton attended Gilman School in Baltimore and played high school football.
After some time had passed, Hamilton became a standout football player at the Gilman School in Baltimore. He was awarded four varsity letters and all-state honors in the sport of football.
Hamilton was a sought-after prospect coming out of high school. He initially wanted to play for the University of Michigan but later change his mind and instead enrolled at Stanford University where he played for the Stanford Cardinals from 2016 to 2019.
After three years with the Stanford Cardinals, he transferred to Duke University and played for the Duke Blue Devils for the 2020 season.
Hamilton had a successful college career and participated in the 2021 NFL draft but was signed by the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent.
Currently, Hamilton is signed by the New York Gaints after he got released from the Raiders.
