During his time playing college football, he did so at UCLA. The Patriots selected him in 2020’s third round of the NFL draft. When Asiasi was in high school,
he played both offensive and defensive line positions for the football team at De La Salle High School in Concord, California. He ended his senior year with 17 catches for 311 yards and five touchdowns, while also recording 49 tackles, five pass breakups, and four sacks on defence.

He was not allowed to participate in any of the 12 games played in 2017 due to transfer rules.
