Harper would endure a trying junior year of competition, spending the majority of the season in a cast, starting just one game but appearing in 10. 34 total tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks were recorded by Harper.

His senior year would turn out to be ordinary; he only started one of the 11 games he played in and finished with 37 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and an interception. Harper received academic All-Big 12 honours as well.
