In the National Football League, Devon Allen plays wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. The 110-meter hurdles are his event of choice in track and field competition. He measures 1.85 meters in height and 86 kg in weight. He played football for the school’s squad while he was a student at Brophy College Preparatory.



He signed with the University of Oregon as a four-star recruit right out of high school, and for the next three years, he played wide receiver for the football team of the Oregon Ducks. NFL scouts became interested in Allen when he ran an unofficial 40-yard dash time of 4.35 seconds. He made a enough of an impression on the Eagles that they invited him to the NovaCare Complex, where they train, on April 7. The day after being taken to the Philadelphia Eagles’ training complex in April 2022, Allen agreed to a conventional three-year undrafted rookie deal with the team.

On August 30, 2022, he was released, and the following day, he was added to the practice squad. He was disqualified from the 2022 World Athletic Championships in July due to a contentious false start. His reaction time was detected by sensors in the starting blocks at 0.099 seconds, which is 0.001 seconds quicker than the permitted reaction time under the law.
