Devon Allen Parents: Meet Louis Allen and Joey Knudson

The National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles have wide receiver Devon Allen on their team. He competes in the 110-meter hurdles in track and field. He stands 1.85 meters tall and weighs 86 kg. He played football for the school’s squad while attending Brophy College Preparatory.

He signed with the University of Oregon as a four-star recruit right out of high school and spent three years playing wide receiver for the Oregon Ducks football team. He had previously competed in the US Nationals and the Olympics, but in 2022 he opted to go to the University of Oregon’s pro day for football players instead.

When Allen ran an unofficial 4.35-second 40-yard sprint, NFL scouts took notice. He made an impact on the Eagles to warrant a trip to the NovaCare Complex, where they train, on April 7. Allen signed a regular three-year undrafted rookie contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in April 2022, the day after being taken to their training facility.

He was released on August 30, 2022, and the following day he was added to the practice squad. Due to a contentious incorrect start during the 2022 World Athletic Championships in July, he was disqualified. The sensors in the starting blocks recorded his reaction time as 0.099 seconds, which is 0.001 seconds quicker than the permitted reaction time.
