Devon Allen is a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League and a track and field athlete who excels in the 110-meter hurdles. He attended the Jesuit high school Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona, in the United States. He was a four-star recruit out of high school and decided to enroll at the University of Oregon.
He spent three seasons there as a wide receiver for their football team, with his first season being the most successful. He switched his athletic concentration from football to hurdling and track & field after graduating from college.
After years of playing in the US Nationals and the Olympics, he made the decision to participate in the football pro day for players at the University of Oregon in the 2022 preseason. When Allen ran a 4.35 second unofficial 40-yard dash, NFL scouts started to take notice. On April 8, 2022, Allen signed a standard, three-year undrafted rookie deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
