Bailey Michael Zappe is one of  the New England Patriots’ quarterbacks in the National Football League. He stands 1.85 meters tall. He attended Victoria East High School. As a senior, he ran for 633 yards and 15 touchdowns while also completing 37 passes for 3,770 yards and 37 additional scores. Zappe chose to play collegiate football at Houston Baptist University because it was his only choice after receiving a small number of scholarship offers.

He played there with the Houston Baptist Huskies from 2017 until 2020. Zappe started nine games in his first year at Houston Baptist, threw for 1,548 yards with five touchdowns and 10 interceptions, and ran for two more scores. During his junior year, he completed 357 of 560 passes for 3,811 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. He threw passes for 1,833 yards, 15 touchdowns, and one interception in four games as a senior. He transferred to Western Kentucky University, where he played football for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers before receiving his degree.

He was chosen to open 2021 as quarterback for the Hilltoppers. Prior to the 2021 Boca Raton Bowl, he had over 1,100 more passing yards than the second-ranked FBS quarterback (Will Rogers of Mississippi State), In the Boca Raton Bowl game against the Appalachian State Mountaineers in 2021, he shattered both records, concluding the year with 5,967 throwing yards and 62 touchdowns.
