Dion Dawkins plays offensive tackle in American football for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. In the American state of New Jersey’s Rahway, he was born on April 26, 1994. He played football when a student at Rahway High School, earning the moniker “Shnowman.”

He initially signed with the Cincinnati Bearcats before deciding to play for Temple University in January 2013. From 2013 to 2016, he participated in collegiate football for the Temple Owls, starting 41 of his 44 games. After his senior year, he was selected for the First Team All-American Athletic Conference. He was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

That year, he was selected as the second offensive guard. Dawkins signed a four-year, $4.18 million contract with the Buffalo Bills on May 19, 2017, with $1.83 million guaranteed and a $1.18 million signing bonus. In all 16 of his contests, he started 11 at left tackle. In 2017, Pro Football Focus gave him an overall rating of 74.5. He received a touchdown pass for the second time in Week 16 of the 2019 campaign.

Dawkins extended his deal with the Bills for four years and $60 million in August 2020, with $34 million of that amount guaranteed. He was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list when he started training camp in 2021 and needed some time to get back into playing fitness.
