He was born on April 26, 1994 in Rahway, New Jersey, in the United States. He earned the nickname “Shnowman” while playing high school football at Rahway High School. In January 2013, he decided to play for Temple University, where he was also a student.

He played collegiate football for the Temple Owls from 2013 to 2016. He was selected for the First Team All-American Athletic Conference following his senior year. The Buffalo Bills selected him in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was chosen as the second offensive guard for that particular season.

He agreed to a four-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in May 2017. A signing bonus of $1.18 million was included in the $4.18 million contract’s total value. The Bills started him as left tackle that season. He had a 74.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus in that year. In the sixteenth week of the regular season in 2019, he caught a touchdown pass for the second time.
