While also playing second base, shortstop, and left field in addition to third base in 2016, Ramrez reached career highs in terms of his batting average (.312), number of doubles (46), and number of stolen bases (22).

Additionally, with his support, the Indians made it back to the World Series for the first time in 19 years.

As a direct consequence of this, Ramirez was bestowed with the title of Bob Feller Man of the Year (the equivalent of the team Most Valuable Player award).

In 2017 and 2018, Ramirez was honored with the Silver Slugger Award, in addition to being named for the MLB All-Star Game in both of those years.

In 2017, he was the only player in the major leagues to hit at least 56 doubles, making him the 19th player in baseball history to accomplish this feat.

In 2018, he blasted 39 home runs and stole 34 bases, putting him in the 30–30 club for home runs and stolen bases.
