Myles Straw and his wife  Lily Herrmann live in Bradenton, Florida. Braden River High School in Bradenton, Florida, awarded him his diploma in 2013.

Perfect Game named him Honorable Mention for the Florida Region in 2013. Myles Straw played collegiately for two years at St. Johns River State College.

In his sophomore season (2015), he hit.413 with 16 steals and a.472 on-base percentage on his way to being named to the Mid-Florida Conference First Team. MFC Defensive Player of the Year went to Myles Straw.



Myles Despite only playing 60 games, he was a valuable addition to the outfield, producing a 1.9 bWAR during his two months with the club, enough for seventh on the team.

During his time with the team, he was among the American League leaders in walks (T7th, 29), hits (T8th, 68), runs (T4th, 42), and doubles (T5th, 16).

Myles Straw earned the Overall Player of the Year, finishing second in the American League in thefts (30) and ninth in games played (158).

He played in 156 games (149 starts) in center field this season, finishing second among MLB outfielders in putouts (394), ranking in the 98th percentile in Outs Above Average, and being credited with 5 Defensive Runs.
