One of the professional baseball players in the major leagues is Rowdy Tellez. Rowdy plays in the position of first baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. He was born on March 16, 1995, to Greg Tellez and Lori Tellez in Sacramento, California in the USA.
He had his amateur baseball career at Elk Grove High School where he was named a 2013 Baseball America High School All-American. After high school, he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 30th round of the 2013 MLB draft. He signed with the Blue Jays for an $850,000 signing bonus.
The Jays assigned him to the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Blue Jays that year where he made his professional debut. He spent the following season with the Bluefield Blue Jays of the Appalachian League and was promoted during the season to the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts of the Midwest League.
During the 2016 minor league season, Rowdy played for the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats and he was named an Eastern League mid-season All-Star and one of 13 Full-Season Eastern League All-stars that season. Rowdy made his MLB debut on September 5, 2018, for the Blue Jays and was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in July 2021 where he has been to date.
