Dominic Manuel Núñez, professionally called Dom Nuñez is an American-born professional baseball player. He plays for the Colorado Rockies baseball team as a catcher. Dom was born in Elk Grove, California in the United States of America.

He began playing professional baseball after he was drafted out of Elk Grove High School by the Colorado Rockies. He was drafted in the 6th round of the 2013 MLB draft. He signed with the Rockies and was made to spend the season with the Grand Junction Rockies to make his professional debut. He spent the following season on the same minor league team.

The Rockies assigned him to spend the 2015 season playing for the Asheville Tourists and 2016 with the Modesto Nuts. He played for the Hartford Yard Goats in the 2017 and 2018 minor league seasons.

Dom played for the Albuquerque Isotopes at the start of the 2019 season and was later called up to the major leagues in August that year. He made his MLB debut for the Rockies on August 13 2019 when they played versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. 

The 2020 season was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic so he did not play in a game that year. When the season resumed in 2021, the Rockies named him to the team’s 2021 Opening Day roster where he served as Rockies backup catcher for the rest of the season.
