His full name is Dontario Tyron Drummond. He was born on August 22, 1997. He is the son of Kelvin Chinn and Alma Jackson. 



In high school, he totaled 3,474 all-purpose yards throughout his four-year career at Laurel. Drummond finished with 1,568 receiving yards (4th in the state) and 17 touchdowns in his senior year of 2016.

He recorded eight touchdowns in both his sophomore and junior years of high school. He played baseball, basketball, and football while at Laurel.



Drummond helped win state championships with both football and basketball teams. He was named second-team all-state by the Clarion Ledger after an outstanding senior season. He was coached by Todd Breland.

Drummond transferred to Ole Miss after spending two years at East Mississippi. He placed third on the team in his debut year at Ole Miss with 13 receptions for 188 yards.

Drummond caught 25 catches for 417 yards and seven touchdowns during his junior season, assisting Ole Miss in reaching the 2021 Outback Bowl.

With 76 receptions for 1028 yards and 8 touchdowns in his senior season, including a career-high 177 yards against Louisville in the season opener, he really came into his own.
