Old Town (Maine) High School was where he went to school and played football in high school. He led Old Town to an undefeated regular season and a spot in the Class C North championship as a senior, earning him the All-Maine designation.

He scored 17 touchdowns and gained 1,068 yards on 49 receptions. In the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl, he recorded 7 receptions for 207 yards and 4 touchdowns, earning him the MVP award. He attended the University of Maine after graduating from high school and played collegiate football for the Maine Black Bears there.

In his first season, he recorded 13 receptions for 152 yards and one touchdown while playing at Husson University in Bangor. In 2018, he took part in all 14 games, making one start, and finished with 16 receptions for 287 yards and one touchdown.
