Dre Miller

Andre Miller, a tight end, was added to the practice squad by the New York Giants on Tuesday.

Miller became a free agent after the 2022 NFL draft and signed with the Giants. He made an impression during preseason and training camp, but during practice, he broke his forearm. Miller was placed on injured reserve by the Giants on August 23, and two weeks later, on September 2, he was released from IR with an injury settlement.

Chris Myarick and Tanner Hudson are the only two tight ends that are currently on the Giants’ active 53-man roster for the position of tight end. Daniel Bellinger, who suffered an injury to his eye socket in Week 7 and was scheduled to have surgery this week, was no longer able to play for the team.

Miller, the Giants’ rookie, will join Lawrence Cager on the team’s practice squad. Cager was given a spot on the team’s practice squad after being signed on October 18 and has seen action in four games over the course of his three seasons in the NFL.

Miller played wide receiver for the University of Maine for all four years of college. He played in a total of 38 games during that time. He amassed 104 receptions, 1,848 yards, and 14 touchdowns. Miller finished his college career by catching 39 passes for 686 yards in his senior year.
