Durham Smythe is an American football tight end who currently plays for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League. Smythe was born on August 9, 1995.

He attended Notre Dame for his collegiate years and played football there. Belton High School was where Smythe received his education and participated in his high school football activities.

Smythe received his education at Notre Dame, where he also participated in collegiate football. Over the course of four years, he finished with a total of 28 catches, 381 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.



During the 2018 National Football League Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected Ryan Smythe in the fourth round of the draft. As a rookie,

he participated in all 16 games and started 14 of them, finishing with a total of six catches and 50 yards receiving. Smythe re-signed with the Dolphins for another two years on March 22, 2022, as part of a new deal.

It was during Week 6 of the 2020 season against the New York Jets that he scored his first touchdown in the professional ranks.
