Professional American football player Durham Smythe is a tight end for the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins. He is 112 kg in weight and 1.98 m tall. He went to Belton High School, where he played football in high school. After graduating from high school, he played football for the University of Notre Dame’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish squad.
In his four years at Notre Dame, he recorded a total of 28 receptions for 381 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. The Miami Dolphins selected Smythe in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 of the 2018 season, he made his NFL debut. In Week 12’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts, he made his first two career receptions.
He had a total of six receptions for 50 receiving yards in the 2018 campaign. He participated in all 16 games of the 2019 season, starting 14 of them. In total, he caught seven passes for 65 receiving yards. He scored his first career touchdown on a four-yard reception against the New York Jets in Week 6 of the 2020 campaign. He re-signed with the Dolphins in March 2022 on a two-year deal.
