Going into his first training camp in the NFL, Brown was anticipated to start as a wide receiver with Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel.

During his high school days, Brown, a four-star recruit and the greatest wide receiver prospect in his class in the state, committed to play college football for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. He caught 41 catches for 631 yards and 10 touchdowns as well as five on the ground.

In a defeat against the Virginia Cavaliers, he caught six receptions for 202 yards and three touchdowns, earning him the title of ACC Receiver of the Week. Following a six-reception, 150 yard performance against NC State, he was once more awarded receiver of the week.

When Jahan Dotson suffered a hip injury in week 5 of his second season with Washington, Brown got the start in his first game.

In the Titans’ 17-21 loss, he caught 2 catches for 105 yards and 2 scores. A 75-yard reception down the field for a touchdown was his first score in the NFL.
