With his first career complete-game shutout against the Mariners on August 29, Bundy set a new career record. A bunt single in the 4th inning was his only blemish; he struck out 12 and walked just two in the complete game.

On May 8, 2018, against the Kansas City Royals, Bundy became the first pitcher in MLB history to allow four home runs without recording an out. Bundy was relieved in the first inning after giving up 5 hits, 7 runs, and 2 walks. Injuries to his ankle forced him to be put on the disabled list on June 26.

On May 24, 2018, against the Chicago White Sox, Bundy threw his second career complete game. He walked one and struck out 14 while allowing just two hits.
