Eduardo Escobar, born on January 5th, 1989, grew up with his four siblings in the La Pica sector of Villa de Cura, Venezuela’s state of Aragua. They were raised by a single mother.

Escobar began working at the age of seven and only finished eighth grade. On July 28, 2012, Escobar was traded to the Minnesota Twins along with Pedro Hern√°ndez for Francisco Liriano.

Escobar hit in 49 more plate appearances, with six RBIs, for a total of 227. Escobar batted.214 with nine RBIs in 146 plate appearances in 2012.

Escobar hit a walk-off two-run double off Phil Coke to lift the Twins to their first win of the season, a 3-2 triumph over the Detroit Tigers, on April 3, 2013.

Escobar was transferred to the Milwaukee Brewers on July 28, 2021, in exchange for Cooper Hummel and Alberto Ciprian. [9] Escobar received his 1,000th hit on October 2, 2021.

Escobar signed a two-year, $20 million contract with the New York Mets on December 1, 2021. Escobar has a property in Miami and spends the off-season there with his wife and five children.

His family was living with him in Arizona as of June 2021. He was the father of four sons and a girl. His eldest child, his daughter, was 17 years old, and his youngest child was six years old.
