Eduardo José Rodrguez Hernándezis a Venezuelan Major League Baseball pitcher for the Detroit Tigers. He was a member of the Boston Red Sox’s prior team.



Rodrguez joined the Baltimore Orioles’ system as an international free agent in 2010, was traded to the Red Sox during the 2014 season, and made his MLB debut in May 2015.

Rodrguez was assigned to the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Class A South Atlantic League by the Orioles in 2012.

Rodrguez went 5–7 with a 3.70 ERA in 22 starts with Delmarva, allowing 103 hits and 30 walks in 107 innings while striking out 73 batters.

Rodrguez was invited to spring training as a non-roster player by the Orioles in 2013.

Before the start of the 2013 season, Baseball America ranked Rodrguez as the Orioles’ seventh-best prospect.

Rodrguez began the 2013 season with the Frederick Keys of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League, where he pitched 14 games with a 2.85 ERA. He pitched a scoreless inning at the Carolina-California League All-Star Game.
