American football safety Eric Rowe, full name Nelson Eric Rowe Jr. plays for the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins. He went to Klein High School in Klein, Texas, and Doerre Intermediate in Spring, Texas. He had nine interceptions during his high school football career and 207 tackles overall.

He had a three-star rating from Rivals.com and was listed as the 39th best safety in his class. He made a commitment to play college football at the University of Utah. He participated in collegiate football for the Utah Utes. In Utah from 2011 until 2014, he worked. In his first year, he was a safety starter. He made 69 tackles, an interception, and a sack while starting all 13 games.

Rowe was chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was chosen in 2015 as the sixth cornerback overall. He agreed to a four-year, $4.87 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in May 2015, which also included a $452,248 signing bonus. The Eagles traded him to the New England Patriots in September 2016.

Rowe was signed by the Miami Dolphins to a $3.50 million, one-year deal in March 2019 that also included a $500,000 signing bonus. He signed a three-year, $16.15 million contract deal with the Miami Dolphins in December of that same year, committing to play for them through the 2022 NFL season. The contract contains a $2.10 million signing bonus in addition to a guaranteed $6.57 million.
