The Cleveland Indians selected Clement in the fourth round of the 2017 MLB draft. He signed with Cleveland and debuted in the Class A Short Season New York–Penn League with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, hitting .280 with 13 RBIs in 45 games.

During the season, he was promoted to the Lynchburg Hillcats of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League and the Akron RubberDucks of the Class AA Eastern League from the Lake County Captains of the Class A Midwest League.

He hit .289/.358/.375 with two home runs, 33 RBIs, and 18 stolen bases in 102 games for the three teams.

Clement returned to Akron to start 2019, but was out for a month due to an adductor ailment.

He appeared in three games for the Columbus Clippers of the Class AAA International League towards the end of the season.

Clement hit .269/.323/.331 with one home run, 28 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases in 101 games this season. Following the season, he was selected to play for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League.

Due to the postponement of the minor league season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Clement did not play a minor league game in 2020.

On November 20, 2020, the Indians added him to their 40-man roster. He returned to Columbus to begin the 2021 season, now a member of the newly established Triple-A East.
