In Major League Baseball, Eugenio Alejandro Suárez plays infield for the Seattle Mariners. He began playing for the Mariners in March 2022 after he was traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the Mariners.

On October 9, 2008, Suárez agreed to a deal with the Detroit Tigers as an amateur free agent. In 2009 and 2010, he participated for the Tigers in the Venezuelan Summer League. On November 20, 2013, he was added to the Tigers’ 40-man roster. On June 4, 2014, he played for the Detroit Tigers in his first MLB game.

The Tigers dealt Suárez to the Cincinnati Reds on December 11, 2014. Suárez and the Cincinnati Reds came to terms on a seven-year, $66 million contract in March 2018. He was selected for the MLB All-Star Game in 2018. He was chosen for the MLB All-Stars on September 10, 2018, at the MLB Japan All-Star Series.
