He turned down offers to play collegiate football from Boston College, Illinois, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest in favor of UCLA as a 3-star prospect straight out of high school.
He played cornerback at UCLA from 2012 to 2016, switching from running back. He made 149 tackles and three interceptions throughout the course of his career. Most NFL draft experts and scouts predicted him to be taken in the late first or second round after he graduated from UCLA.
He participated in the East-West Shrine Game in 2017, and the West won thanks to his outstanding performance. In March 2021, he signed a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons. In May 2022, he signed on with the Houston Texans. In September 2022, Moreau signed up for the New York Giants practice squad, and that same month, he was also added to the active roster.
