Fletcher Cox is an American football defensive tackle currently playing for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League.

Cox was born on December 13, 1990. He received a football scholarship to Mississippi State University, where he played college football, and was selected by the Eagles in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Cox won the Super Bowl, and he has been chosen to play in the Pro Bowl on six separate occasions. In 2011, when Cox was still a junior, Pro Football Weekly honoured him by naming him an All-American.

In football, he recorded 103 total tackles, 11 quarterback sacks and two interceptions in addition to his 103 tackles. In the high jump competition at the 2009 Division 3-4A Meet,

he had a jump of 1.74 meters, which earned him an eighth-place finish. He was offered scholarships to attend LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss; but, he decided to attend Michigan State University instead.

During the 2012 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected Cox with the 12th overall pick. Cox finished his first season with 39 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 4 passes defended, and 1 forced fumble.

In addition, he participated in all 15 games of the season. Cox was chosen for the Pro Bowl for the very first time and was given an honourable mention on the All-Pro second team.

At the beginning of the 2017 NFL season, the Eagles let Cox go, but just two days later, they brought him back on a one-year deal after revoking his release.
