On July 10, he returned to the squad and made regular starts in right field until July 21, when Myers recovered from a different injury.

In July, Reyes was called up for ten games, although he only got 12 at-bats, largely as a pinch hitter. When Myers was placed on the disabled list again in early August, he rejoined the team.

Reyes improved his approach at the plate after his fourth promotion, raising his average from .221 to.280 by the end of the season despite starting in the right field on a regular basis.

In the 13th inning against Colorado on August 30, he blasted a walk-off home run. In 261 at-bats and 71 starts in right field, Reyes ended with a .838 OPS and 16 home runs.
