Gabriel Alejandro Arias, simply called Gabriel Arias is one of the professional minor league baseball players with the Cleveland Guardians baseball team. He is of Venezuelan descent and has a height of 1.87 m and a weight of 92 kg.
Gabriel was born on February 27, 2000, in the city of La Victoria in Venezuela. He played baseball whiles growing up and was signed as an international free agent by the San Diego Padres in 2016. He made his professional debut the following season in 2017 with the Arizona League Padres and Fort Wayne TinCaps.
Before the 2018 season began, he played in the Australian Baseball League for the Canberra Cavalry. The Padres assigned him to spend the 2018 season with the Fort Wayne and he played for Lake Elsinore Storm in 2019.
The Padres invited him to their spring training in 2020 and in August that year, he was traded to the Cleveland Indians for another player. The Indians selected his contract and added him to their 40-man roster in November 2020.
He played with the Triple-A Columbus Clippers in 2021 and spent the beginning of the 2022 season with Columb us. He was promoted to the major leagues by the Guardians on April 20, 2022.
