American-born professional baseball player Garrett Nicholas Cooper, first baseman for the Miami Marlins, is well-known. He is 1.96 meters tall. He was born on December 25, 1990, in Torrance, California, in the US. He played baseball at Loyola High School in Los Angeles. He continued playing baseball in college at Auburn University and El Camino College after completing his high school career.
He was chosen by the Milwaukee Brewers in the sixth round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He joined them and was handed the Helena Brewers and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers as his teams to launch his professional career. He was awarded the Brevard County Manatees, Wisconsin, and AZL Brewers as his teams for the next year.
The Brewers compelled him to compete for Brevard County and the Biloxi Shuckers in 2015. He participated in 2016 with Biloxi and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. He was traded from the Milwaukee Brewers to the New York Yankees in 2017, and on July 14, 2017, the Yankees gave him his major league debut.
His contract was purchased by the Miami Marlins from the New York Yankees in November 2017. To avoid wage arbitration, he reached a $2.5 million agreement with the Marlins.
