An offensive tackle with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, Germain Ifedi is a professional football player. He is 151 kg in weight and 1.96 meters tall. He competed in football, basketball, and track as a three-sport student-athlete at Westside High School. The Associated Press named him to their second team All-State.

Ifedi, a four-star recruit, was ranked as the No. 15 offensive guard prospect in his class by ESPN also listed him as four-star recruit. He attended Texas A&M University after high school, where he played college football for the Aggies from 2012 to 2015. In 2012, he had a redshirt as a freshman. He started each of the 13 regular-season games as a redshirt freshman in 2013.

The Seattle Seahawks took Ifedi with the 31st overall choice in the 2016 NFL Draft. He committed to a four-year, $8.27 million contract in May 2016. On October 2, 2016, he made his NFL debut and first start of his career. He became a free agent in 2020 after the Seahawks turned down his fifth-year option in May 2019. He committed to a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears on April 1, 2020.
