Giovanny Gallegos is one of the professional baseball players with the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). He plays the position of a pitcher for the team. He is of Mexican descent born in a town called Ciudad Obregón in Mexico.
Giovanny began his professional career in 2012 when he was signed by the New York Yankees as an international free agent. That same year, the Yankees assigned him to play with the Gulf Coast League Yankees. During the 2013 season, he was with the Staten Island Yankees and in 2014, he played for the Charleston River Dogs.
In the 2015 season was made to spend it with the Tampa Yankees and he spent the 2016 season playing for both the Trenton and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. When the season ended, the Yankees added him to their 40-man roster. He was promoted to the major leagues in May 2017 and he made his MLB debut on May 12 2017 for the Yankees.
He was traded by the Yankees in 2018 to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals made him play with the Memphis Redbirds that same year after which he was promoted to play with St. Louis in September that year.
