Greg Lomack Allen (born March 15, 1993) is a Major League Baseball (MLB) outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He debuted in Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2017 with the Cleveland Indians and has since played for the San Diego Padres and New York Yankees.
Allen went to Chula Vista’s Hilltop High School. He subsequently went on to play collegiate baseball for the San Diego State Aztecs for three seasons. He was a member of the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League in the summer of 2013.
Allen was taken in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB draft by the Cleveland Indians. Allen was sent to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers after signing with Cleveland and spent the whole season there, batting.244 with 19 RBIs and 30 stolen bases in 57 games.
He hit.273/.368/.382 with seven home runs, 45 RBIs, and 43 stolen bases in 123 games with the Lake County Captains.
