Defensive end Gregory Rousseau plays for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills in American football. His parents, Anne and Oskal Rousseau, welcomed him into the world on April 5, 2000 in Coconut Creek, Florida.

He played defensive end, safety, and wide receiver at Champagnat Catholic School in Hialeah, Florida, where he was enrolled. He enrolled at the University of Miami after high school to play collegiate football for the Miami Hurricanes. With 15.5 sacks, second only to Chase Young’s 16.5, he was voted the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year. He decided not to participate in the 2020 season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Buffalo Bills selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. On June 4, 2021, he agreed to a $11.37 million, four-year rookie contract. Rousseau was nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week honors in Week 2 of the 2021 season for his five tackles, two sacks, and two tackles made beyond the line of scrimmage. On October 10, 2021, he had his first career interception in a 38-20 victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5, earning AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
