He rushed for 861 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior, adding to his 4,202 passing yards and 39 passing touchdowns. He was also named Texas High School Football Player of the Year.



He ran for 1,212 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground in his junior season while also throwing for 3,596 yards and 32 scores. The Houston Cougars were his collegiate football team while he was a student at the University of Houston.
