Hamsah Nasirildeen is a professional football player who plays linebacker for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He is 1.91 meters tall and weighs 98 kilos. He was reared in Concord, North Carolina, and played football as a wide receiver, tight end, safety, and linebacker while a student at Concord High School.

He began playing defense as a junior and finished with 85 tackles, 5 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 7 passes broken up, 35 receptions for 634 yards in offense, and 5 forced fumbles. He was named a US Army All-American as a senior after compiling 108 tackles, three interceptions, and 45 receptions for 751 yards and five touchdowns.

He played collegiate football for the Florida State Seminoles at Florida State University. As a true freshman, he played in all 13 of Florida State’s contests, recording 29 tackles and intercepting two passes. He took part in every Seminoles game during his second season, starting five games at safety.

He had 91 tackles, an interception, and two pass breakups at the end of the season, which was a team high. As a junior, he recorded 101 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 3 interceptions, and 3 passes broken up. He was picked up by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was put on injured reserve in October before being activated in November.
