Crouse did not appear in a game in 2020 since the Minor League Baseball season was canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Crouse started the 2021 season with the Double-A Central’s Frisco RoughRiders, finishing 3–2 with a 3.35 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 51 innings.
