Henry Wyatt Anderson plays as a defensive end for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. On August 3, 1991, he was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. He was a student at College Park, Georgia’s Woodward Academy.
He played football there for head coach Mark Miller, finishing his career with 183 tackles and 20.5 sacks. He received two All-4AAA Region selections, three South Fulton Neighbor All-South Metro awards, and the first team All-state honors in 2009, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. At Stanford University, he participated in collegiate football for the Stanford Cardinal football team.
From 2010 through 2014, Anderson took part in Stanford’s student-athlete program. The Indianapolis Colts selected him in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Due to a laryngeal fracture, Anderson was placed on injured reserve in November 2017. He was traded to the New York Jets in April 2018. He joined the Jets in March 2019 and was released by the organization in March 2021 after agreeing to a three-year, $25.2 million contract.
He was assessed a $10,527 punishment by the league administration in September 2019 for his late hit on another player. He was let go by the Jets in March 2021. He agreed to a two-year deal with the New England Patriots in the same month.
