Jacob Brentz is Jake Brentz’s full name. Steven Brentz is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball. Jake Brentz was born in the United States on September 14, 1994, in Ballwin, Missouri. Jake Brentz was selected in the 11th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.



Brentz, a graduate of Parkway South High School in Manchester, Missouri, was selected in the 11th round of the 2013 MLB draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. On the other hand, he was signed on July 12, 2013. The Gulf Coast Blue Jays were his first professional team.

Along with Rob Rasmussen and Nick Wells, Jake Brentz was traded to the Seattle Mariners. He finished the season with the Everett AquaSox of the Low-A level. In 2016, he split his season between the Everett Mariners and the Single-A Clinton LumberKings, appearing in two games for Triple-A Tacoma.



Brentz signed a minor league contract with the Kansas City Royals on August 20, 2019. In April 2021, Brentz was selected to the 40-man roster.
