How Fast Does Dane Dunning Throw?

He throws it at an average of 85.8 mph, with a maximum speed of 90.1 mph.

Dane Dunning is emerging as the team’s most consistent starter in 2021, according to the Rangers’ rotation.

He’s in the top five in the majors in games started by a rookie, and he’ll pitch his 100th inning at Boston on Friday.

Dane, like many other players on the current roster, is in his first full season in the majors, and the past four months have flown by.

Despite the fact that Dunning only missed one start due to an ankle ailment, the idea is to limit his appearances for the final 45 days of the season.

“They have to put me on a restriction, and they’ve guided me to it because this year is about getting me ready for the following season,” Dunning explained.

Dane has stated that he does not want to know the in-game pitch count throughout each start. Dane explained, “I guess that’s simply coming back from my father.”

It’s all about focusing on one pitch at a time. “I personally don’t enjoy knowing the pitch count because I want to be focused on the scenario at hand and the batter I’m facing, not thinking I need a nine-pitch inning or anything like that,” Dunning explained.

However, the mentality does not completely eliminate the feeling that the end of the night is approaching.

“I got a horrible feeling throughout the season that it’s getting close now,” Dane said. Dane is unlikely to be shut down by the Rangers. Just confine his outings to three innings or less to keep his game schedule intact.
