Chad Smith whose real name is Chad Dennis Smith is a Baseball pitcher from America who was born on October 2, 1989, in Thousand Oaks, California the United States. Chad Smith was known to have played for Major League Baseball teams like the Detroit Tigers, the Oakland Athletics, and so on.



His early days began when he started pitching in High school at the time. He was known to record an 8-1 win-loss record with a 2.00 earned run average where he was striking out 65 batters in 60 innings pitched. He was known to have been great during his senior high school days.

Chad Smith’s early life continues at college where he attended the University of Southern California. He then featured in college baseball for the USC Trojans baseball team whiles in college. He was known to make his first college appearance on February 25, 2009, against Pepperdine Waves. He was also known to have featured in Summer baseball for the Peninsula Oilers of the Alaska Baseball League in the years 2009 and 2010.



He commenced his professional career with the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball where he was drafted in the 17th round of the 2011 Major league Baseball draft. After some time with the minor leagues, he was promoted on June 18, 2014, when he had his call up by the Detroit Tigers. Two days later he was claimed by the Oakland Athletics in that same 2014 year

His last stint was with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim/Texas Rangers. He was traded to them for cash considerations on May 8, 2015. He got a release and later on joined the Texas Rangers on a minor league deal in December 2015.
