Prior to 2020, he was regarded as a solid but unspectacular prospect, but after a huge breakout year in 2021, he rocketed up the prospect rankings.

Miranda was drafted in the second round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft by the Minnesota Twins out of Leadership Christian Academy in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

He made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Twins that year. Miranda played for the Elizabethton Twins in 2017, the Cedar Rapids Kernels and the Fort Myers Miracle in 2018, and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in 2019.

In 2020, he did not play in a minor league game because the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Miranda joined the Wichita Wind Surge in 2021 before being promoted to the St. Paul Saints.

He returned to St. Paul for the 2022 season. Miranda was called up to the major leagues for the first time on May 2, 2022, and made his debut that night against the Baltimore Orioles.
