How Good Is Spencer Brown?

In the second half of the 2021 season with the Buffalo Bills, Spencer Brown began to show his true potential.

In a preview of the upcoming NFL season, the football analytics outlet identified a player who has the potential to become a breakthrough star for each of the 32 teams in the league. The PFF chose the right tackle for the Bills as their winner

During the pre-draft process, Brown gained a reputation for possessing exceptional measurables for a tackle candidate. After everything was said and done, the 6-foot-8, 290-pound lineman was selected at the very end of Round 3, but his rookie season demonstrated that he very well might surpass that selection placement.

The run-block grade that Brown received in 2021 was 70.6. However, the pass protection he had was a burden to deal with. Brown received a pass-block grade of 49.1 despite having committed 36 pressures.

Buffalo is hoping that by selecting Brown, they have ensured the future of the outside of their offensive line for many years to come. Dion Dawkins, who plays on the left side, has already been given a contract extension for a lengthy period of time.

In the final stretch, the Bills had every reason to be pleased with what they obtained from Brown. He was a member of their offensive line that helped them avoid getting sacked for about a month toward the end of the season.

According to PFF’s analysis, Brown’s primary focus heading into 2022 should be on developing his skills as a pass protector. However, when you have a quarterback like Josh Allen, who is a mobile athlete, it helps because he can make plays on the run.
