Josh Bell whose full name is Joshua Evan Bell is a professional baseball first baseman for the Washington Nationals who was born on August 14, 1992 in Irving, Texas in the United States. He is also known to have played in Major League Baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He made his first appearance in MLB in the year 2016.

In his Amateur days, he is known to be a product of Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas and was known to have been selected by the Pirates in the second round of the MLB draft in the year 2011. He was known to have received a $5 million signing bonus, a kind of record for a player who is outside of a first round, he bypassed his college scholarship to the University of Texas. With the Pirates, he played MLB with them from the year 2016 to 2020 and was known to be an All-Star with them in the year 2019.

Bell was being drafted by the Pirates in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft in the 61st overall selection, in the year 2021 draft. Before his real professional career, he had minor league work out with the State College Spikes. Bell who now plays for the Nationals was traded by the Pirates on  December 4, 2020 which was in exchange for one Wil Crowe and Eddy Yean.
