Casey Austin Keenum is an experienced quarterback for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. He attended Houston University and became the all-time leader in passing yards, touchdowns, and completions in the NCAA.

Keenum surpassed all other quarterbacks in the Football Bowl Subdivision in terms of total offense and touchdown passes during the 2011 season.

Keenum was selected for many All-American teams because of his contributions to Houston’s success on the field. He is the only quarterback in Division I FBS history to throw for over 5,000 yards in each of his first three seasons.

Keenum was acquired by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2012, and he threw for 1,760 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games he started for the Texans until he was released before the 2014 season.

Later in 2014, he re-signed with the Texans after being signed to the practice squad of the St. Louis Rams.

Keenum was acquired by the Rams from the Texans in exchange for a draft pick in 2015. He remained with the Rams until signing as a free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017.

Keenum enjoyed a breakout season after starting quarterback Sam Bradford was injured, achieving career highs in starts, passing yards, completions, and touchdowns.

He led the Vikings to a 13-win regular season, followed by the “Minneapolis Miracle” playoff triumph against the New Orleans Saints.

Keenum then played for the Denver Broncos, the Washington Redskins, and the Cleveland Browns. Because he has played for seven different NFL clubs, he is known as a journeyman quarterback.
