How many rushing yards does Devin Singletary have this year?

Last season, Singletary ended up scoring 45 percent of his points in the final four games. In the weeks 15 to 18, he scored six of his eight touchdowns in 2021.

Six of the seven double-digit games the third-year back had last season occurred in contests in which he hit the end zone.

The fact that he managed to hit the end zone at a rate that far outperformed his prior 30-game sample in the final four weeks of the season just so happened to make him the epitome of a touchdown-or-bust running back for the whole year.

How much of shift fantasy managers will observe in Singletary’s usage in the passing game is one of his main worries heading into the 2022 season. Buffalo obviously wants to improve there after trying to sign McKissic and then selecting Cook.

Singletary has not performed well in that capacity. There were 44 running backs who saw at least 35 targets last year. In terms of yards after the catch per reception, Singletary came in 37th. With an average of 0.61, he was second-to-last in yards per route run. His average of 5.7 yards per reception was 41st.

In 2020, 33 running backs satisfied the 35-target standard. In terms of yards per route run, Singletary placed 30th. With an average of 6.7 yards per reception, he came in only 25th place.

The three-year pro has one of the league’s poorest pass-catching records as a running back. It’s reasonable to ask how much of a part Singletary will play in the passing game now that Cook is in Buffalo.
