Austin Jackson is an American football offensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at USC and was drafted by the Dolphins in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Jackson spent his childhood in Phoenix, Arizona, and attended North Canyon High School. He was a member of the football team at North Canyon High School, where he played both defensive and offensive line, in addition to being on the school’s basketball and track and field teams.

As a senior, Jackson was a five-star recruit and considered to be the top collegiate talent in the state of Arizona. Despite offers to play college football from Washington and Arizona State, Jackson chose to go with the University of Southern California instead.

Jackson participated in all 14 of the Trojans’ games as a true freshman, playing as a reserve offensive lineman and participating in special teams on the field goal unit, where he played on both sides and blocked a kick against Colorado. He also played on the field goal unit for the field goal unit, where he played on both sides.

At the beginning of his sophomore season, he was given the starting job at left tackle for USC and went on to start all 12 of the Trojans’ games.
