Jazz Chisholm is a Bahamian-born British professional baseball second baseman for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Chisholm’s grandmother Patricia Coakley, a shortstop for the Bahamian national softball team, was the one who first taught him how to hit when he was just two years old. This is how Chisholm became interested in the sport of baseball.

Chisholm immigrated to the United States when he was 12 years old in order to complete his secondary education at the Life Prep Academy in Wichita, Kansas.

In addition to playing baseball at Life Prep, he was also active in basketball and football. After graduating from high school, he went back to the Bahamas to continue his athletic education at a boarding school there.

In July of 2015, Chisholm became an international free agent by signing a contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks for the sum of $200,000.

It was in 2016 with the Missoula Osprey that he made his debut in the professional ranks, and he spent the season there, hitting .281 with nine home runs, 37 runs batted in, and 13 stolen bases throughout the course of 62 games played.
