Sony Michel is an American football running back for the Los Angeles Chargers in the National Football League. After playing college football at Georgia, the New England Patriots selected him in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. 

He played with the Patriots for three years and was a part of their Super Bowl LIII championship team, during which he scored the game’s only touchdown and helped them win the championship

Michel was originally a member of the Miami Dolphins, but he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, where he went on to win Super Bowl LVI.

After the birth of Michel’s older sister, Lamise, Michel’s parents decided to leave Haiti and start a new life in the United States. Michel went to school at the American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida. During his three years on the varsity football team, he carried for a total of 4,758 yards and scored 63 touchdowns.
