Judge completed his Under Armour contract from 2014 by signing an endorsement deal with Adidas for the 2018 season.

The largest free agent in the baseball apparel industry, Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, was signed by Adidas, which made the announcement on Tuesday. Terms weren’t made public.

The agreement includes branding on his wristbands and batting gloves, a significant piece of real estate on one of baseball’s most popular attractions.

In a statement released by the firm, Judge stated, “Adidas has a ton of momentum and everything the brand is doing right now stands out from the others and challenges the status quo.”

Judge’s relationship with Under Armour, who hired him in 2014, ends as a result of the agreement. Kris Bryant of the Chicago Cubs and Carlos Correa of the Houston Astros are just two of the rising stars Adidas has amassed.

Since Judge switched labels in time for spring training, the Adidas agreement was not entirely unexpected.

After breaking the MLB record for the most home runs in a rookie season, Judge was named the American League Rookie of the Year in 2017. (52). The All-Star Home Run Derby was also won by him.
